On Sunday morning, traffic modifications will go into effect for a 5k race which starts and ends at the intersection of Ellwood Ave. and Boston St..

The following streets will be closed Sunday, May 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

• Ellwood Avenue between Boston Street and Eastern Avenue

• Eastern Avenue between S. East Avenue and Patterson Park Avenue

• Linwood Avenue between Eastern Avenue and Pratt Street

Officials want drivers to be aware that temporary traffic stops may be put in place during the race for participants' safety. Drivers traveling nearby should be on the look out for pedestrians and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
