This season of Thursday League is proudly presented by Barcocina, the waterfront restaurant in Fell’s Point known for Mexican-inspired cuisine, fresh ingredients, and handcrafted cocktails. With open-air dining and panoramic harbor views, Barcocina is one of Baltimore’s favorite spots to eat, drink, and socialize. The season will wrap with an end-of-season party hosted at Barcocina, celebrating the league champions.

Season Details:
Starts Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 5:30pm
6 weeks of regular season + 2 week playoff
FORMAT:VIP Style quads (Premier)
LOCATION: Patterson Park, Baltimore, MD
Premier league skill level:
Excellent ball control on serve receive and defense to deliver clean and accurate passes to the setter.
Defensively reads attackers well and makes reactive decisions; digs hard-driven balls, can chase down shots, and generally exhibits good ball control to keep the ball in system.
Can bump set and/or handset the ball cleanly and accurately to desired location. If a setter, can handset and run a variety of different tempos.
Can hit the ball with power and precision using a variety of shots (cross, line, high line, off-hands, etc); reads block and adjusts accordingly.
If a blocker, has strong technique in blocking; can read the hitter and times blocks well. Can consistently take away lines/angles or gets blocks/touches.
Can present a challenging serve; preferably a variety of different serves (jump serve, top, float, etc) and strategically places serves targeting a location on the court.
Exhibits good court awareness, game strategy, decision-making, and has an understanding of teammates’ and opponents’ positioning on the court.
Exhibits good communication, athleticism, teamwork, a sense of competitiveness, and a desire to continually improve skills.
